Edge in Bexhill are looking for a hairdressing apprentice

Edge is a team developed from a salon that had been well established in Bexhill for the past 16 years....

Our salon provides a wide range of classic and contemporary hairstyling services provided by a creative team whose experience in hairdressing ranges from a minimum of 8 years  fully qualified experience to  35 years!!

Our male stylists are all London trained and specialise in all cutting techniques-whilst our female stylists offer fantastic cutting and incredible colouring combinations, all this coupled together with a genuinely friendly professional service from all of our staff. .we believe in treating you the way we wish to be treated.

Apprentice Carpenter

Westridge Construction Ltd



Westridge is a forward looking construction company based in Bodiam, East Sussex, with regional offices in Hove, Redhill and Ashford. We carry out projects throughout the South East and are planning to expand our operations to in excess of £60m over the next few years. Due to this continued growth we are looking for Apprentice Carpenters to join our team.


 


As part of your training you will attend College 1 day a week where you will


gain an NVQ L2 in carpentry as well as receive hands on, one-to-one training.


 


Qualifications/Skills Required:


GCSEs Maths and English (min grade 4 )

BEXHILL COLLEGE TASTER DAY TUE 3/7/2018
All year 10

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Register at Bexhill College at the start of the day and in each session (this will be your legal registration for the day)
  • If you are travelling on the CCC coach please arrive to Claverham as usual as the coach will be leaving at 8:55. You will be brought back to Claverham for school buses. If you are travelling independently please arrive at Bexhill college between 8:45 and 9am for your legal registration
  • You will be issued with a timetable upon your arrival
  • You will be released after the last session
  • A member of Claverham staff will be present onsite all day
  • You do not need to wear school uniform on the day
  • You will need to bring a packed lunch or sufficient amount of money to purchase your own lunch/drinks there
SUSSEX COAST COLLEGE TASTER DAY WED 4/7/2018
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW:

·         Arrange your own transport to and from the college – arrive between 8:45 and         9am!

·         Register at Sussex Coast College at the start of the day and in each session (this      will be your legal registration for the day)

·         You will be issued with a timetable upon your arrival

            Register at Sussex Downs College at the start of the day and in each session             (this will be your legal registration for the day)

            You will be issued with a timetable upon your arrival

            A member of Claverham staff will be present onsite all day ONLY at Lewes               Campus

           You do not need to wear school uniform on the day

            You will need to bring a packed lunch or sufficient amount of money to purchase     your own lunch/drinks there


APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY
Kurt J Lesker are looking to take on a mechanical apprentice this year.

Core skills will be Vacuum Tig Welding, fabrication, manual machining, CNC machining, CAM. They are a high end supplier to Scientific researchers, Synchrotron rings and some of the high end technology researchers.

This will be  4-5 year apprenticeship taking the apprentice to HNC Level with BTEC level 3 practical.

McDonald’s Management Degree Apprenticeship
 
McDonald’s School Leaver programme lasts five years and gives students the opportunity to follow a structured training programme, which leads to valuable qualifications. At the end of it, participants will have gained loads of practical experience and progressed through different management roles. They will have helped make real business decisions and could even go on to manage their own restaurant. 

 There is a financial advantage, too. The School Leaver Management Degree Apprenticeship is a great opportunity to earn while you learn. You won’t have the tuition fees, or the student loan, but you will be paid a competitive salary that increases as you progress through the programme. 

 The programme initially leads to a level 3 apprenticeship. You then have the opportunity to gain a BA (hons) degree in business management and retail, and chartered manager status with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).



General Dynamics Apprenticeship

Manufacturing apprenticeship programme

We are offering two apprenticeship programmes based around manufacturing at our Hastings site in East Sussex.

Our programmes in Hastings will give you experience in the fields of manufacturing engineering and electronics, as well as gaining a wider understanding of business activities at General Dynamics UK and its wider programmes. You will attend Sussex Coast College to gain your qualification in one of the following:

• Higher Apprenticeship: Advanced Manufacturing Engineering – Level 4

• Engineering Manufacture: Electrical and Electronic Engineering –Level 3

• Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering – Level 3

• Performing Engineering Operations – Level 2.

What to expect:

  • Development and understanding of basic engineering and manufacturing principles

  • Practical experience

  • Support from experienced training professionals to ensure you achieve your academic potential

  • Support and guidance from engineering managers and mentors

  • Dedicated HR advisor

  • Support and exposure within further education – time to attend college is provided and supported.
