Hello My Name Is...

Cindy Young


Hometown: Wichita Falls, TX via Austin, TX.    

   Hello, I am Cindy Young.  I am a graduate of Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. I received my teaching certificate in May 1980 and English Language Arts and Reading certification in 2007.  I also have ESL certification, coach 7th & 8th grade UIL Modern Oratory, co-sponsor City View Crime Stoppers, The Stampede (Yearbook ) and The Messenger ( Newspaper ). My husband and I have been married for over 30 years now and have two wonderful sons and extended family. Beyond family time, I enjoy reading, painting, and photography in any spare time that I might have.  City View is my "other" home because I love working with the children.

Classroom Rules and Expectations

  • Come to class prepared with all supplies and textbooks needed for my class.
  • Complete all assignments and homework by due date, I am available for tutorials before and after school.
  • Please enter the classroom quietly without disruptions.
  • Show respect to everyone in the classroom.
  • Be on time; let me know if you’re going to the restroom or water fountain to prevent tardiness.
  • No food, candy, drinks, backpacks, or purses are allowed in the classroom. (These are the City View ISD rules)
  • Treat others, as you would want to be treated.
