Welcome to the High School Course Guide. Here you will find information about all of the courses that we offer at Copenhagen International School.

Mission: Educating champions of a just and sustainable world.

Vision: Learning to build community. CIS will develop the potential of each student by offering educational excellence  in a stimulating environment of cultural diversity and mutual respect.

The High School Program at CIS offers world class education in an international environment to students in Grade 9 - 12. Students joining us will find a friendly and well-motivated community, representing over 50 nationalities, of 250 students and 40 teaching staff. The High  School comprises a team of administrators, teachers and counsellors who ensure that the academic, social and emotional needs of the students are met.

We follow the academic programs of the International Baccalaureate Organisation in order to offer our students a rigorous and stimulating curriculum. Students in Grades 6-10 follow the IB Middle Years Programme  (MYP) and those in Grades 11-12 follow the IB Diploma Programme (DP). The IB Diploma gives graduating students a prestigious certificate with international recognition.

The IB MYP and DP programmes prepare students for universities and careers worldwide, and we are extremely proud of the excellent examination results that our students have achieved. The College Counsellors offers university and careers guidance to students in Grade 9 - 12 to help students find happy and successful roles in their lives after CIS. Graduates from CIS go on to universities across Europe, Australia, Asia and North America. Recent graduates are attending Princeton, MIT, Northeastern, Georgetown, Copenhagen Business School, Copenhagen University, Cambridge, Durham, Warwick and Edinburgh, amongst many others.
