It is an honor to invite you to consider participating in the upcoming Nordic Network Conference to be held at the Copenhagen International School from April 24th to April 26th 2015. Not only is Copenhagen a lovely place to visit in the spring, but the conference that is being organized around the theme "Being Well, Learning Well" promises to be enjoyable and professionally rewarding.

The program, including the Friday Pre-conference Day, features an outstanding and international array of speakers, including Sue Roffey, Ian Morris, Peder Esben Bilde and Anders Ronnau. They will share their expertise and engage participants in a range of subjects from promoting positive relationships to understanding cutting edge neuroscience. In addition, there will be a weekend’s worth of stimulating presentations, workshops, talks and social activities.

Teaching Conferences such as this one give us an opportunity to connect with new friends and colleagues as well to reestablish existing bonds and professional relationships. Through face-to-face contact and collaborative learning we’re able to address the sense of isolation that is an almost inevitable condition when working in an international school. This conference will almost certainly reinforce the positive in what you are already doing as well as to encourage new ways of thinking and approaching your work. We are confident that you leave Copenhagen with a slightly heavier professional toolbox and a decidedly lighter step.

Consistent with our school’s mission statement, which focuses on the importance of Learning to Build Community, the Nordic Network Conference will focus on the importance of lifelong learning and community building in our schools and throughout our region. We look forward to hosting this exciting event and learning with and from old colleagues as well as friends we haven’t yet met.
