 Requisitos / Experiencia:

• Carreras: Biologia, Fisica, Fisica Biomedica, Manejo Sustentable de Areas Costeras 

• Nivel Académico: 

PhD Candidates: Must hold an MSc degree (or equivalent) in a related field.

MSc Candidates: Must hold a BSc degree (“Licenciatura”) with a final grade average > 8/10. Strong candidates with a grade average > 7.5/10 may also be considered.

Our lab is seeking two talented and passionate students (MSc or PhD) to work in the following fields and topics:

Agricultural Research: Precision agriculture, phytopathology, plant phenomics, viticulture, or forestry.

Photonic Sensor Development: Spectrometer development, metabolomics, bioimaging techniques, or microscope design.

Environmental and Food Bioengineering: Photobioreactor design, algae biotechnology, and organic waste and wastewater bioprocessing using microorganisms. 

• Candidates may enroll in the Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, or Physics graduate programs, depending on the relevant coursework.

• CV (two pages maximum, PDF format) including:

- Academic grades.

- Thesis titles with the supervisor's name for bachelor’s and/or MSc.

- English proficiency qualifications.

-(Optional) Relevant publications.

• Cover Letter (one page) indicating

- Research interests related to the position.

-MSc or PhD

- A brief statement of skills and qualifications. 

•  Disponibilidad de horario:  Full-time (40 hours/week) for 11 months per year, including research, coursework, and Teaching Assistantships in undergraduate courses. 

Oferta:

• 27,000 to 30,000 CAD per year 

• 20 working days of holidays annually.

• These positions are fully funded. Candidates are encouraged to apply for additional funding to supplement their income.

• Our lab provides a new laptop or desktop (Windows only).

• Airfare support from CDMX to Toronto or Hamilton is provided for travel near the start date, booked via our preferred supplier (Economy class).

• Ground transport from the airport to Brock University will also be arranged.

• Assistance in finding initial accommodation will be offered (cost borne by the candidate).
