Development of a Platform for Distributed Simulation and Design of Complex and Heterogeneous Embedded Systems

Abstract:
With the appearance of various devices such as GPU, DSP, and FPGA, for example, computing evolved from homogeneous to heterogeneous computing, since different devices are used in performing the same activity, with the purpose of the performance gain. However, this brings with it challenges heterogeneity for developing applications because the form of program differs between the hardware's. Thus, the aim of this project is the development a platform for design, simulation and verification of critical and real-time embedded systems, allowing the integration between simulators and devices (Hardware-in-the-loop - HIL), forming a single System-of-Systems (SaS).
