Our Pastor

Rev. Renee Machiniak has been serving the Royal Oak Church of the Holy City since 1995. She and her husband, Joe, reside in Royal Oak and enjoy participating in community charity organizations and events, as well as singing in church and community choirs.
Rev. Renee has served the Royal Oak Police Department as a volunteer Chaplain since 2004 and assists with the Royal Oak High School Task Force aimed at teen drug and alcohol abuse prevention. She also serves the Royal Oak Prevention Coalition, striving to help youth and families with drug and alcohol education and prevention.
Rev. Renee Machiniak was ordained in 1995 at The Swedenborg School of Religion in Newton, Massachusetts, studied at Andover Newton Theological School and Boston University, as well as earned a Master's Degree in Theology at The Swedenborg School of Religion on "The Spirituality of Listening."

Rev. Renee very much enjoys spending time with friends and family in church, in the Royal Oak Women's Club organization, The Madison Chorale, The Royal Oak Pastor's Association and in the Therapy Choirs...and she cherishes her little Cairn Terrier, Shooty.
