I direct CHHS's three year Science Research Program and teach various biology courses.  As far back as I can remember, I have been fascinated by nature.  I enjoy helping students learn to make their own observations and investigations.

I have a B.A. from Bennington College and an M.S. in Science Education and an M.S. in Bioethics from Columbia University. Before becoming a high school science teacher, I worked as a biological electron microscopist in both diagnostic and research settings at Yale University School of Medicine (1975-1986).  I was a part of the Rockefeller University Outreach Program (1992-1996) and have ongoing interactions with Cary Institute, Millbrook, NY, and Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.

Students and I are using Google Classroom to coordinate class activities.  Click on a course of interest in the menu above to learn more.  The calendar should link you to assignment deadlines and important dates throughout the school year.
