U.S. History-7
My name is Mrs. Jensen.  This will be my fifth year teaching 7th grade history at Heritage and I am very excited about the new school year. Below is some information about me.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis in U.S. and World History at the University Nevada Las Vegas. And I also earned a Master's of Science in Teacher Leadership.  I love teaching and taught 8th Grade World Geography for almost 7 years in Las Vegas, Nevada.  It was quite an experience teaching in the city.

Before moving to Vegas, I grew up in southeastern Arizona.  I graduated from Duncan High School in 2001 as an honor graduate.  I participated in many clubs and sports.  I played volleyball and tennis.  I was a proud member of our local  FFA and 4-H chapter.  I showed horses and chickens and helped my little brother raise a few steers and pigs for the county fair. In 1999-2000 I was chosen to represent Greenlee County as the Rampage Rodeo Queen. I also participated in rodeo and gymkhana events.   This is what I love about Chino Valley it reminds me of where I grew up but a little bit bigger in size.

After high school I married my sweetheart Michael.  He joined the Air Force and was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas.  He served for 6 years before deciding to go back to school full time. While stationed in Vegas, I provided riding lessons for kids and hosted play days.  In 2004, I won the Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association World Champion Barrel Racer title.  That was really awesome. Michael graduated in May of 2014 with a Bachelor degree in Aeronautical Science Degree (minor: Crash Investigations) and will have a helicopter pilot license.

Together we have a sweet little boy named Ethan and a baby girl Averie.  Ethan loves science and building stuff. Averie loves her big brother and wants to do everything he does.

I look forward to getting to know you and wish for a happy and wonderful school year.

Best Wishes,
Mrs. Jensen
