At 7:00 p.m. of Tuesday January 12, eighth graders and their parents sat down for their first preview of Cheshire High School for curriculum night. Principal Jeff Solan kicked off the evening with a presentation about what CHS has in store for the prospective students in the form of a movie trailer he made himself.
Students were then guided around the school in small groups by peer advocates and link crew members. Clubs and sports teams set up camp in the cafeteria and commons to give the eighth graders an idea of what they can join next year at the high school.
Until 8:30, the future freshmen had the opportunity to speak to some of the teachers, coaches, sports captains, and club representatives and ask questions about what they have to offer. The eighth graders will return to the high school in the spring with their teams to see what a day is like at CHS.
