Celebrate High School
Finish with Excellence
Cheryl says: "Our high school home school experiences (two graduated and another in process) have been like sieving sand. Our adventures were unique to each child, not like the high school I experienced. I sieved through hundreds of hours of reading, research, seminars, and notes from tea-time-chats with older, wiser parents who had walked the high school journey, looking for ways to document what we had accomplished. When we had to document all the wonderful learning opportunities we discovered, many out-of-the-box from traditional educational philosophy, I struggled with how to put our experiences into the paperwork entities requested. The grains left in my sieve were the “essentials” we found beneficial when our students applied for discounted good student insurance rates, employment, and college entrance. This booklet contains the essential grains left in my sieve, the grains I would love to share with you as we sip tea. Grab a cup and we’ll talk." But what does that look like on paper? Celebrate High School highlights the answers to common questions asked by parents and students. The booklet is not an exhaustive wade-through-all-the chapters-to-find-what-I-need resource, but rather a quick, easy-to-read reference, a springboard toward more personalized research. Whether fresh out of the blocks on the first leg of the high school adventure or heading toward the finish line, high school is a time to be celebrated.
