Mrs. Hansson

Welcome to 3rd grade! I am thrilled to be your child’s 3rd grade teacher at Rashkis Elementary. I believe that there are certain teachers who have a special way of connecting with children and inspire them to do the very best that they can. I was fortunate enough to have met several of these special educators, and one in particular inspired my very young self to become a teacher. The way my third grade teacher captivated my attention, cared for me, and engaged the class with authentic learning activities, made my eight-year-old self yearn for the day that I could do the same for my own students. I am so excited to teach in the very grade that had such an impact on my life! 

My husband and I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and hanging out with our 2 tailless cats (Tangelo and Kokomo) and dog Lucy.

By following the growth mindset, I hope to help your child embrace challenges, persist even in the face of setbacks, see effort as the path to mastery, and learn from constructive feedback. I hope that we can all work together to make this happen!
