The Pen tool is a super powerful tool in Adobe Illustrator, but also the most frustrating tool for beginners.
Today, we will start with some very basic lines and curves that will eventually assist us in the making of a beach scene. Starting with connect-the-dots clicking of lines to complicated curves.
We will add gradients (learned last lesson) and additional details as you'd like. It doesn't have to include ALL of the objects, though all objects need to be redrawn on the initial artboard.
After creating the basic arches and connected arches, begin creating the beach shapes using the same techniques. All points can be changed using the Direct Selection tool (shortcut A) and adjusting the handles.
