”Challenges to Opportunities” Workshop at Blythedale Children’s Hospital

Chappaqua 12th Grade Troop 2746 invites you to join the fun at a workshop they’ve designed to increase sensitivity to people living with disabilities.

Please join us, in collaboration with Blythedale Children’s Hospital, for an afternoon of fun, learning and making new friends.

When? Monday, November 11, 1:15-3:45 pm
Where? Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla
Who? Girl Scout troops from 2nd to 12th grade and their leaders (Two adults max, unless required for driving or for safety guidelines.)

Individual scouts accompanied by an adult are welcome, too.

Cost: Free
Each scout should bring a new item of clothing for the children of Blythedale.

Light snacks will be served.

By participating, scouts earn all or most of the requirements for the GSHH-approved “Challenges to Opportunities” badges for Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors. (Details will be provided).

Registration begins at 8 am on Monday, October 7, 2013. Space is strictly limited. To secure a spot, you must send a completed registration form by email or fax to Laura. Troops are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Materials received early will be treated as though they arrived at 8 am on Monday, October 7. If a full slate of registrations arrives by start of registration, slots will be given out by lottery. Acceptance will be confirmed, and you will receive additional information and preparatory materials.
