  • create a project team that will guide the work on your campus
  • have all staff members create Common Sense Education accounts

  • apply for Common Sense Digital Citizenship Certified School Certification through the Common Sense Media site
  • apply for the Game On CFB Digital Citizenship Certified School badge through this site (project lead only)

To earn the "Backchannel Believer" badge, you must:

  • use a backchannel tool with learners (students or staff) three times
  • identify the purpose of backchanneling during instruction
  • understand the difference between synchronous and asynchronous communication methods
  • use backchannel data to guide and adjust instruction
  • seek learner feedback on the use of backchannels during a lesson
  • reflect on your learning about backchannels and share with others

To earn the "Dynamic Digitales" badge, you must:

  • explore a variety of digital tools and examples of digitales
  • identify a tool you will use with students
  • create a teacher demo of a digitale using the chosen tool
  • have students complete the writing process to develop an edited version of a story
  • have students create their digitales using the digital tool
  • share student digitales with others
  • seek learner feedback about the experience
  • share your experience with colleagues

  • create an account with GoNoodle using your district email
  • take 10 brain breaks with your class
  • share a picture of your champ via social media
  • try a game like Body Spell
  • create your own question set to review content
  • use a My Questions game with students
  • share your question set with your team and with the DLS!

  • learn what a screencast is and watch some examples of a screencast
  • determine a purpose and audience for creating a screencast
  • plan and write your screencast script
  • use a screencasting tool such as Screencastify to create a screencast for educational purposes
