Give to the Max Day Results

posted Nov 25, 2013, 8:29 AM by Deb Kadrlik

The Cannon Falls Education Foundation organized a fundraising drive around the November 14 “Give to the Max Day” and met with great success.
As of November 18th, donation totals were $7,148 through the on-line site and another $9,281 collected through traditional mail or personal drop-off.
“Donations are still being received, so we anticipate the numbers to go up,” said CFEF board member Kelly Miller.
People can still make donations on-line at or they can mail them to: Cannon Falls Education Foundation, 820 E. Minnesota St., Cannon Falls, MN, 55009.
The good numbers came despite some technical difficulties at the website on the “Give to the Max” day.
“The site crashed and didn’t come back up until about 6 p.m, and it was stressful,” said Miller. “We weren’t sure what the day would bring because of that, however, we exceeded our goal of $15,000 despite the setback.”
The volunteer group hopes to fund a total of $62,000 in teacher-requested projects that are not included in the normal school budget this year.
