We are happy to announce our 2018 keynote speaker:

Dr. Paula Kluth

Dr. Paula Kluth is a consultant, author, advocate, and independent scholar who works with teachers and families to provide inclusive opportunities for students with disabilities and to create more responsive and engaging schooling experiences for all learners. Paula is a former special educator who has served as a classroom teacher and inclusion facilitator. Her professional interests include differentiating instruction and inclusive schooling.

She is the author or co-author of more than 15 books and products including: "From Text Maps to Memory Caps": 100 Ways to Differentiate Instruction in K-12 Inclusive Classrooms"Don't We Already Do Inclusion?": 100 Ways to Improve Inclusive Schools“You’re Going to Love This Kid”: Teaching Students with Autism in Inclusive ClassroomsJoyful Learning: Active and Collaborative Learning in the Inclusive ClassroomA Land We Can Share: Teaching Literacy to Students with Autism, and "The Autism Checklist": A Practical Reference for Parents and Teachers. Paula is also the director of a documentary film titled “We Thought You’d Never Ask”: Voices of People with Autism.

This 2-day Institute provides Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with a wide variety of strategies to support a wide variety of communication needs. The keynote & breakout sessions cover current topics for SLP's. Our unique setup allows for direct interaction with a variety of vendors, including therapy and educational materials & assistive technology strategies. The Institute also provides an opportunity for SLPs to re-connect with an extended community of school-based SLP's. In addition to our distinguished keynote speaker, this conference features 90-minute breakout sessions all day Tuesday, vendor exhibits, an ethics session, and fabulous door prizes.

LICENCE RENEWAL:     This conference is NOT part of the ASHA CE Registry. It is your responsibility to complete the compliance forms and submit it to AHSA. 
The Ethics Training does count for your state license (DRL). For DPI, you need to have 6 credits in 5 years or a PDP, hours alone do not count.
