Good Afternoon to all students, parents, and staff - I want to update everyone on current happenings and upcoming plans for our school community. As you are aware, schools will be closed through April 24th. Meals will continue to be served at CES and Burbank Free Will Baptist. Check the Carter County Schools website for additional locations throughout the county. Academic plans are currently being made by teachers at each school. The work provided in the future will be school specific from teachers at Cloudland Elementary. Packets will be provided for all students and will be available at Cloudland Elementary and Burbank Freewill Baptist Church on Monday, April 6th and Tuesday, April 7th from 12 noon until 1 p.m. If you cannot pick up a packet during the lunch hour, we will also distribute packets Monday evening at CES from 6 until 7 p.m. All work completed to date should be turned in on Monday or Tuesday when the new packet of work is distributed. The packets will include work for a 2-week period. All teachers have an active email address should you need clarification or assistance. A link to teacher's email is on the school website. Students should complete the work and return when we schedule the next packet distribution. Also, inside your packet, you will find a list of online learning resources that are free and easily accessed. You are encouraged to use these resources in addition to the assigned work in your packet. This is a time like we have not encountered before. Parents, your role is crucial to ensure students continue to grow academically during this time. You may be assured that this work will be assessed and feedback will be given for the work completed. All forms of communication will be used to keep you informed and up-to-date concerning school information.
