Want to start a Facebook page but you don’t have time? Want to build a website for your business, but you don’t know how? The Central Avenue Business Improvement District will serve as your one-stop social media stop, connecting you with social media and technology, all for free. We can help you find technology tools to make you more effective, so you can get back to doing what you do best—running a business. ■
Do you need help planning a special event for your business? Whether it’s a ribbon-cutting or an annual sale, a fundraiser or a new product, the Central Avenue Business Improvement District wants to help. The CBID has a trained and experienced marketing department will do everything to make sure your special event is a success. We can help you plan the event, promote it, and work with other businesses to ensure a good turnout. We’ll even send press releases to the local media for you. ■
You sell plumbing fixtures. Someone else on Central Avenue tiles floors. Are there opportunities for you to reach the same customers? Central Avenue Business Improvement District is here to help you explore these possibilities. Just for being a member of the Central Avenue BID district, you’re eligible for discounts at Albany Parking Authority, Tech Valley Communications, Paychex, HVCC’s Workforce Development Program, Phillips Hardware, NYSERDA, 1st Friday, CDTA, local banks, and more. ■
When it comes to attracting customers, we know that appearances matter. And that’s why the Central BID works hard to make sure our district stays spic-and-span. You can find the BID Clean Team hard at work every day, vacuuming the sidewalks, picking up garbage, emptying solar trash cans, and maintaining fl ower baskets and banners. We also coordinate with the city’s anti-graffiti unit and Department of General Services to ensure that Central Avenue is always presentable. ■
