It is important to follow proper procedures in order to receive the most timely support. Please follow the guidelines below:
  • Submit a technology work order (ticket) if you need any technical assistance (hardware, software, Skyward, or general troubleshooting). Your request will be routed to the correct person and he/she will get notified by email immediately. This is the quickest and most direct route for technical support, and it helps us keep track of common issues.
  • Call the IT Help Desk at 882-1055 or dial extension 1600 if you have a technology emergency (wi-fi is down, room full of kids that can't log in, etc.). Our technology secretary and help desk attendants will field your call and send someone to help.
  • Email Account Help at if you or your students have trouble logging in to a program.
  • Submit a Canvas ticket if you have a question about features of Canvas or have trouble getting something to work. Students can also submit tickets when needed. As soon as you encounter an issue, click Help at the top and select "Report a problem." This is the quickest and most helpful way to get a response because it goes to one person, it shows which course and assignment is acting up, and it can be escalated to Canvas support when needed.

To get a list of your students' login information (email, username, password, student ID), you can download them all at once from Skyward.  Here's how:
  1. Log in to Skyward Student.  Click on Teacher Access and open My Homeroom.
  2. Click on Student Search and Reports.
  3. Select My Homeroom Roster.
  4. Check Student Access Login and Password as well as Email.
  5. Click View Report for All Students or Export to Excel.

Have you ever tried showing your students YouTube videos, only to get a "This video is restricted" message?  You now have the ability to approve videos for your students.  Make sure you are signed in to your Center Grove Google account on YouTube.  
As a teacher or staff member, you can approve the video by opening it and looking at the blue bar below the video.  If the video needs to be approved, you will see "Video not approved for" and you can click Approve.  Once the video has been approved, the student will need to verify he/she is signed in to YouTube and then refresh the page.

We have adopted Canvas as our learning management system (LMS) for our entire corporation. You can use this tool to assign quizzes to your students to be automatically graded, view very detailed analytics, have discussions online, post content for students and parents, and more. It is used heavily in secondary classrooms. Our specific Canvas login page is located at

  • Grades 9-12 - Tim Gray is a great resource for you. Tim is our eLearning Coach at the high school and is very experienced with using Canvas.

All staff email is located in Office 365. You can use the "Microsoft Office" shortcut at the top of any Center Grove webpage or go to to log in. Here are a few resources that will help you learn the new system:

You can install Microsoft Office at home for free on up to five computers. 
Log in to webmail (see above), click Office 365 at the top, and click Install now button.

Google Drive, Dropbox, P: drive, or OneDrive... "Which one should I use?!"
  • Google Drive is our preferred tool for file storage and collaboration. Moving forward as a corporation, we will continue using Google Drive for electronic storage and collaboration.  You can install Google Drive on your computer so you have a Google Drive folder on your computer to save to (similar to your P: drive).
  • P: drive - every staff member has access to a network drive called a P: drive. The files you put on this drive are only accessible from school or through VMware.  For this reason, we believe Google Drive will be your best option so you can access and edit your files from any device, anywhere.
  • OneDrive is Microsoft's built-in storage solution, but we will not be supporting or recommending it.
  • Dropbox - we encourage you to transition your files out of Dropbox and into Google Drive.
