Prenatal to Age 3 Home Visiting Program

Broken Bow Sixpence and Custer County Early Head Start

As a parent, you are your child's first and most important teacher.

Give your child the best possible start in life.

Sixpence will help you better understand your child's stages of development with individualized visits in your home.

The weekly visits are 1 to 1½ hours in length and are designed to meet the needs of your family.

You will be assisted with planning activities that encourage your child's growth.

Social activities will be held monthly to provide the opportunity to interact with your child and other families.

Sixpence staff will support you in educating and nurturing your child and will provide links to community resources.

You and your child (prenatal to age 3) may be eligible for the Sixpence if you meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Your child was born prematurely or at low birth weight.
  • Your family’s income qualifies you for participation in the federal, free or reduced lunch program.
  • As a parent, you are younger than 18.
  • You have not completed high school.
  • A language other than English is the primary means of communication in your home.
Parents of children with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
