The new

 Cedar Valley’s Promise Director

(Decat Coordinator / Early Childhood Director / CPPC Coordinator)

 

Carole Gustafson comes to us after retiring from the Waterloo Schools as a school social worker.  Her 24 years at the schools, along with 16 years in other jobs in the Cedar Valley will bring a unique perspective to the work she will do for us.  She is excited about meeting you all and will be getting in touch personally to introduce herself.  ~~ SAVE THE DATE ~~

Black Hawk County Community Interagency

Who: Anyone serving families in the Cedar Valley

When: 3rd Wednesday of every month

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Where: First United Methodist Church, 614 Rudolph Street, Waterloo

Cost: FREE

 

Join with other agencies and organizations starting Wednesday, September 20, and every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., to learn about a featured organization and share opportunities and services about your own agency. Featured organization in September will be HOUSE OF HOPE.

 

House of Hope is a 2-year transitional house for homeless single mothers and their children. Staff walk alongside single mothers to break down the barriers holding them in the cycle of homelessness and attain self-sufficiency. Karin Rowe, executive director, will be sharing current numbers, the organizations plans for expansion, and how families can be referred and receive services from House of Hope.
