"Excellent stay in a fantastic townhouse at Cedars Tennis Resort. The resort is close to beach access and some great restaurants (recommend the Blue Dolphin for breakfast) and is a short drive to St. Armand's Circle and Sarasota." -A TripAdvisor Guest

The Beach
The white sandy beaches of Longboat Key stretch for 11 miles along Florida’s west coast. Tall palms and flowering tropical plants line well-groomed streets that lead to world-class restaurants, resorts, elegant condominiums and spectacular homes. Located at Longboat’s northern tip is Beer Can Island, also known as Greer Island. This peninsula has 2,000 feet of primitive, sandy beach and is accessible by shallow draft boat. Beach-goers will enjoy walking the island at low tide, but must remember to walk back to the mainland before the Gulf comes in at high tide. There are two public beach accesses on Longboat Key, Neptune Avenue and Mayfield Street beaches. Both are marked by blue and white “Beach Access” signs and are considered well-manicured and secluded.
