How Do We Plan To Raise Funds This Year?

No Hassle Fundraiser: Our fall fundraiser this year won't make you sell a thing! All we are asking for is a donation from each family to reach our goal. Stay tuned for details coming in Tuesday folders late September.

Pain-free Fundraisers:  Each year re-link your Harris Teeter VIC Cards/Lowes Foods Fresh Reward/ Publix Cards to Cedar Fork, and keep cutting those Box-Tops.  We raised over $1700 last year!

Book Fair: Each year we help host a book fair to raise money for our media center to purchase new books and supplies. This year the proceeds will benefit all of discovery cove. This year book fair will run from December 1-15.

Dine-Out Nights:  We currently have 3 Dine-Out Nights confirmed:  Chick-fil-A at Parkside Commons (October 25), Ruckus/YoLo (Nov. 14&15), Dairy Queen (DQ) (May 31).  We hope you will come support your school and have some family time!


Do you work at or own a business that would like to advertise on the PTA website, in front of the school on a banner, or receive a plaque of recognition to display proudly at YOUR office showing your support of Cedar Fork?  Please contact our fundraising committee chair for more information.  This is a great way to put your business in front of ALL 1000+ students and their families!!  For more information on becoming a Silver, Gold or SUPER Stingray, please contact Doug Alumbaugh ( 

Low-Effort Fundraising

The Cedar Fork PTA also sponsors additional voluntary fundraisers throughout the year.  Many of these COST YOU NOTHING (Box Tops, linking your Harris Teeter &Target cards to our school).  Others are just fun ways to meet outside of school as well as support our local businesses that support our school (Dine Out Nights @ local restaurants).  Please consider participating in these fundraisers - if you have questions about any of these programs please contact our chair, Doug Alumbaugh. 


Dine Out Nights

When you dine in, take-out, or play on designated dates, these establishments will donate a certain percentage of sales back to our school.  This is an easy way to take a night off from cooking and bring in a little extra for our programs.  Participate when you can, dine and play when and where you like.  It's fun for you and good for the school.

Stingray School Store

Fridays outside the PTA office from 8:45-9:10am the PTA Stingray Store is open.  Students, parents and staff are able to purchase fun school supplies (pens, pencils, erasers and sharpeners).  We are always looking for parents to help at the Stingray Store.  Please contact the committee leader listed above to see if there is a Friday when you can help out.  Grab a friend - we need 2/3 parents each week.

Box Tops for Education

Box Tops can be found on various General Mills and Betty Crocker products.  Be sure to check your items from Sam's Club, BJ's and Costco as wells as items from the grocery store.  Clip, save and turn in your Box Tops to your child's teacher anytime during the school year.  Each Box Top turned in earns our school 10¢, although some of the 'bulk' items provide Bonus Box Tops and can be worth anywhere from 50¢ to $2.  Get your kids in on the action.  Make it their job to find and clip the Box Tops.  The PTA encourages students to turn in Box Tops by providing contests and prizes to the classes and/or grades that turn in the most Box Tops!

Harris Teeter

Harris Teeter’s Together In Education program is a fund raising program for schools in our communities.  When customers purchase select Harris Teeter Brand products using their VIC card, Harris Teeter contributes a percentage of those purchase dollars to Cedar Fork Elementary.  Starting August 1st each year, we link our VIC cards to the Cedar Fork Elementary Together in Education school code (#5873).  Simply give the cashier your VIC Card and Cedar Fork's Together In Education school code. This one time sign up process must take place each school year. Cedar Fork Elementary is linked to your VIC card until May 31. Look for special promotions where you can earn even more money for your school (see Pharmacy *Bonus Program* below).

Please note that random weighted or bulk items in produce, meat (except poultry), seafood, deli-bakery, or prepared foods within these brands are not included in the program.

*BONUS PROGRAM* Pharmacy Prescriptions
In addition to the HT brand items that qualify for our TIE program, they have added prescriptions. A percentage of each prescription filled in the Harris Teeter pharmacy will be donated to TIE schools. Customers must have their VIC card linked to a TIE school in order to participate.

Corporate Matching Gifts

IBM will match Employee donations 100%!! Donate $100 and your child gets $200 of credit for their class!!  Click the IBM image to print the application.   Complete PART A and give the form AND your donation to your child's teacher.
