Forensics is fun extra-curricular activity for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. With the help of the coaches, team members prepare a spoken presentation from one of the 18 different categories. These selections are performed at scheduled tournaments where students are judged based on the category rubric. Team members choose their category and script in December and practice their presentation.

Tournaments are scheduled on the weekends usually from February to March. For the rounds of competition, team members perform for a small audience and a judge. Team members are scored on a standardized rubric. In between rounds, team members can meet students from other schools or show off their moves at a DJ dance. At some tournaments, the top performers compete in a Power Round to earn a medal or trophy.

Team members who give exceptional performances over the course of the season are invited to the state tournament at the end of the season.
