Procedures: In order to have the best and most safe experience for all, please adhere to the following:
  • Bring your ticket stub and your student ID with you
  • As with all dances, school administration will be present with poker-chip breathalyzing.
  • Please do not move the chairs at the dinner tables. Each dinner table has seating for 10. It is recommended to form your table groups ahead of time and arrive early as there is no assigned seating. Be flexible and willing to sit by others if there aren't enough chairs at your table.
Permission Slips: All students attending Post Prom must have their parents fill out, sign and return a permission slip before they buy a ticket. This permission slip notifies the school of your attendance at the Post Prom. You may not attend Post Prom if your Permission Slip has not been signed and returned by Friday, April 21.  This is the last day tickets will be on sale.  Permission slips may be picked up in the High School Main Office starting on March 23.

Guests: CHS students who wish to bring a guest to this year's Prom must pick up a permission slip in the Main Office starting on March 23. This is a two page Permission Slip. The first Permission Slip is signed and returned by a parent and the second Permission Slip is given to the Administrator of the guest's school to be faxed back to CHS. You will not be able to purchase any tickets until both of these forms have been returned to CHS.

Voting: Junior students must be nominated by another student and must see any teacher or coach to be included on the Prom ballot. Voting for Court will occur in April during English classes on an unannounced day. Students should not advertise or solicit votes for themselves or other students publicly including on social media. On voting day, students will be able to vote for both court members and the King and Queen. The Court will be announced the week before Prom. The Queen and King will be announced at the Prom!

Parking at The River Club: There are plenty of free parking spots at The River Club, plus a covered drive-up for limousine drop off. Please make sure you enter at the correct entrance when arriving. Enter the Event's building on the RIGHT (not the Nine's Restaurant).

Pictures: Network Photography will be at The River Club to take candid photos that will be available for viewing and ordering at a later date.

Watching the Crowning of the Court: Parents and other students who wish to attend the Grand March (the crowning of the Queen and King), may attend Prom from 8pm-8:15 only. They must leave the venue after the Crowning.   Identification may be requested in order to enter The River Club.

Post Prom: Your Post Prom is planned by a committee of Junior parents. This is a separate FUN event following Prom that takes place back at CHS! Post Prom is from 11:30-1:00 am at the Field House. Post Prom tickets can be purchased separately from Prom tickets for $12.  The cost includes a hypnotist, food, beverages and other fun activities. Post Prom tickets will be sold during lunches the same weeks as Prom tickets.

Special Thanks: Special thanks to Karen Jahr of The Elegant Touch for providing her services and decorations at a discounted price and Groth's Country Gardens for donating the flowers for Prom Court!
