Welcome to the Cedarburg High School Vocal Music Web Page

We are pleased you are taking the time to browse our site. We hope we can help you become familiar with our
course of study and the many activities we offer to our students interested in vocal music experiences. For additional

The Music Department at CHS seeks to offer students the opportunity to develop as well rounded musicians. We
consistently strive to meet this goal through a progressive curriculum addressing all stages of development. Quality
performance is a direct bi-product of a consistent approach in process. The journey through music literacy, history, culture,
rehearsal skills and critical listening are as important to us as the destination of successful performance. We foster an
atmosphere of team building, achieved through the common goal of commitment to practice, music exploration and
collaborative music making.

In addition to classroom music exploration and studies, the vocal music students are given the opportunity to participate in numerous events throughout the year. These include field trips, master classes, the winter musical, school tour performances and performances for various community functions. Many of our groups appearances have become a tradition, such as  performing for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and  singing for the Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner. All choral groups also perform three times a year in our state of the art performing arts center (CPAC). We offer a Fall Concert in October, Holiday Concert in December and the Spring Sing and Senior Recognition Night in May.
