The American Community Survey is a survey conducted by the U. S. Census Bureau. Unlike the every-10 year census, this survey continues all year, every year. Randomly selected household are requested each year to complete the survey. The information from these surveys is used to determine how more than $400 billion in federal & state funds are distributed each year. When you respond to the ACS, you are doing your part to help your community plan hospitals & schools, support the school lunch program, improve emergency service, and other worthy projects. If your address has been contacted about the American Community Survey and you'd like to verify that it is a legitimate survey, please contact 1-800-354-7271. Also, please see the information flyer attached below for more information.
