Mr. Brian's 8th Grade Social Studies

My name is Brian Parker and I want to welcome you to my site. I am beginning my 22nd year teaching in Cannon County. I began my teaching career in Resource at Short Mountain in 2001. In 2002 I transferred to Woodland and taught in the Resource room. I have been teaching 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies for 4 years. Beginning this fall, the 2022-2023 school year, I will be teaching 8th Grade Social Studies, or American History Colonization through Reconstruction at Cannon County Middle School.

I attended elementary school at Woodbury Grammar and graduated from Cannon County High School in 1994. I attended Middle Tennessee State University where I earned a degree in History, Grades 7-12 and Spanish. In the 2004 I received an add-on endorsement to teach Resource in grades Pre-K through 12. In May of 2012, I graduated with a Master's Degree in Pre-K-4 Resource from Arkansas State University.

I am married and have a daughter.

History has always been a subject I have enjoyed. I look forward to sharing that love of history with the 8th grade students this year.
