Welcome to my website.  My name is Abbi Leigh Holt Dunford.  I am currently serving my 12th year as an educator.  I hold a Bachelor's degree in secondary education with a concentration in mathematics and a minor in mathematics from Tennessee Technological University.  I hold a Master's degree in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in secondary education from Tennessee Technological University.  I hold an educational specialist degree in instructional leadership from Tennessee Technological University, which is how I obtained my administrator's license.

Four summers ago, I was chosen as an Algebra I Common Core Coach for the state of Tennessee. I spent my summer training other high school teachers about the implementation of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and worked in this capacity for 3 years. I also had the honor of being chosen as Stone Memorial High School's Teacher of the Year during the 13/14 school year.

My main job here at SMHS is to run the RTI squared program, which is an intervention program designed to help students close the gap in math and reading, and an enrichment program that involves Career Exploration and ACT prep.  I am very excited about what this program can do to help our students become more successful.

I have been married for 12 years to Micah Dunford, who is a paramedic at Fentress County EMS.  He is also the pastor of Roanoke United Methodist Church. I have a daughter, Annabeth, who just turned 10 years old and is currently in the 4th grade at Pine Haven Elementary School. I also have a son, Samuel, who just turned 6 years old and is in Kindergarten at Pine Haven Elementary School
