News and Events

The library is a busy and exciting place to be! Books are being checked out all day by classes as well as individual students who have finished books and need new ones. Students are writing book reviews and putting them on our online catalog (the PAC). Databases are being used for research and finding new ideas. And our WONDER AREA (makerspace) is a hit with all students. Some even come in during the day to explore and discover even more with our Sphero, Osmo, Legos, and other critical thinking

Weaver raised $1443 to support a book fair at Marguerite Christian Elementary as part of our Book Fair last year. All students at MCES will be able to choose a to take home at no cost!  Way to spread The Weaver Way!

Bettie Weaver welcomed the dynamic-duo author team of Margaret Peterson Haddix and James Riley.  Students were beyond excited to meet the authors of the books that they had fallen in love with and couldn't wait to hear about "the story behind the story!" Haddix shared how she gets her ideas from asking, "What if..." and Riley hooked each child with his cat-filled presentation and cliffhanger approach to writing.  Thank you to bbgb bookstore for bringing these authors to us!
