BWE collecting shoes!! (extended)

posted Feb 20, 2019, 10:42 AM by Luis Giron-Lopez   [ updated Mar 4, 2019, 6:44 AM ]

BWE is collecting gently used shoes

February 19 - March 8

The shoes we collect will be sent to other countries with a program that gives people a chance to clean and resell the shoes.  This means that someone may have a chance at a livelihood who may not have had the opportunity to have a job before.

The gently worn, used and new shoes you collect

should be in good condition meaning that the soles are intact, they have laces (if necessary), there are no holes, they are dry and clean, and that they still have life left in them.  Tie any laces together or use rubber bands to keep pairs together. Put heels of dress shoes together toe to heel to prevent them from tearing the bags.

If you wouldn’t give them to a friend, then they are not worthy to submit for this cause.

Please consider spring cleaning early this year

for a good cause!
