posted May 6, 2018, 3:14 PM by Laura Prymak
Hi Winterpock Families! Thank you so much for making our staff feel extra-special last week! Our teachers enjoyed many treats planned by the PTA including a catered lunch by Noodles & Co. and donuts by Sugar Shack. Classrooms looked beautiful with all of the flowers that students brought in! Thank you again for all of your kindness and generosity! Follow me on Twitter (@WPESPrincipal) to see photos highlighting our #WPESwolves throughout the week! We look forward to a fantastic week thirty-three of school with your children!

*CCPS Transition Resource Fair Reminder: See the attached flyer about the CCPS Transition Resource Fair that will occur on Monday, May 7th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. CCPS Transition Resource Fair.pdf

*Kindergarten Mother’s Day Tea Program: The Kindergarten Mother’s Day Tea Program is this Friday, May 11th at 9:00 a.m. Look for more information from your child’s classroom teacher!

*SOL Testing Reminders: The SOL Testing Window begins this week. Our students have worked diligently throughout the school year and are ready to rock the test! Please ensure that your child is well-rested and at school on time the morning of each SOL test.

Our 5th graders will take their Reading SOL Test on Tuesday, May 8th and Wednesday, May 9th. Due to SOL testing schedules and unpredictable ending times, we recommend that you do not come to eat lunch with your children on the days that they are testing. Of course, we welcome you to come on any other day!

Attached is the SOL Testing Calendar for our 3rd-5th grade students. Thank you to the many volunteers that have signed up to assist us with monitoring bathrooms during testing! Please go here if you would still like to volunteer. If your child will be absent on a testing day or have any questions about SOL Testing, please email Mrs. Bare atnatalie_bare@ccpsnet.net. Thank you! SOL Testing Calendar.pdf
