Winterpock Weekly Update-4/15/18

posted Apr 15, 2018, 4:57 PM by Laura Prymak
Hi Winterpock Families! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend! We enjoyed settling back into our routines last week and adjusting to the additional 10 minutes in our school day! Follow me on Twitter (@WPESPrincipal) to see photos highlighting our #WPESwolves throughout the week! We look forward to a terrific week thirty of school with your children!
*Student Placement for the 2018-2019 School Year: The time for organizing class assignments for next year is right around the corner! During the months of May and June, teachers, support staff, and administrators will be working on establishing class groups for the next school year. This process is extremely collaborative and thoughtful! We factor in many variables as we strive to find the right “fit” for all students. If you feel the need to provide additional information about your child’s learning needs for the 2018-2019 school year, please send an email or letter to Karen Dubiel, Principal, on or before Friday, May 4th. Although specific teacher requests cannot be guaranteed, we appreciate your input regarding the instructional qualities and type of environment your child thrives in, as well as, notification of any student relationship challenges that may impact your child’s learning. Thank you for partnering with us to provide the very best learning environment for all of our students!

*IMPORTANT Message from CCPS-Time Added to the School Day: An additional 10 minutes will be added to the end of the school day through Friday, June 15th. Dismissal is at 2:55 p.m. from Monday, April 9th through Thursday, June 14th. Our dismissal on Friday, June 15th will be 11:55 a.m.

*Volunteer Application: The CCPS Volunteer Application is now an online application! Paper applications will no longer be used. If you have already submitted a paper application for the current school year (2017-2018), you do not need to do anything at this time. If you have not filled an application and plan to volunteer for a school or PTA function for the remainder of this school year, please go here to access the online application. This link will also be added to our school website! All volunteer applications will now be screened through the CCPS Office of Safety & Security.
