Graduation Practice Presentation

Mandatory graduation practice is June 5 at 11:45 in the large auditorium.  A senior who doesn't attend practice may  not participate in the commencement ceremony.

Handicapped attendees at graduation:

Seating on the top row of seats inside the Seigel Center arena is the best place for folks with handicapped concerns.  These are the best seats because visibility is very good, they are easily accessible, and unlimited family may accompany them, sitting in the seats in front of them.  (Entrance to the arena takes you directly to the top row; it is very easy to access these seats.  No steps need to be navigated.)  The other alternative is to take the elevator down to the bottom floor level, which is the level on which the graduates sit, but this means viewing is not premium, and only ONE family member may accompany them.

Handicapped individuals may be dropped off directly in front of the Seigel Center on Broad Street while someone else parks the car.  Handicapped parking is available in the parking decks, with the state issued handicapped tag, along with a Thomas Dale parking pass for the June 7, ’18 graduation.

If any assistance is needed for handicapped folks, please email senior class sponsor, Laura Deck, at laura_deck@ccpsnet.net

Graduation Ticket Update:
The following procedure will be put into place for seniors to acquire 1 additional ticket:
1.  A new request form must be completed.  Forms will be available outside of room 608 during the school day on Tuesday, May 29, and only on this day.  Arrangements must be made to acquire a form.

2.  Forms must have ALL required signatures and will be due NO LATER than 2pm on Wednesday, May 30. Students may return forms to room 608 by simply sliding them under the door.  Forms are not to be left outside of room 608.  NO forms will be accepted after 2pm.

3.  After submitting a correct and complete form, the extra ticket may be picked up by the student on Thursday, May 31, room 608, between 6:45 and 7:15 am.  A current picture id must be shown when picking up the ticket.  No form, no ticket; no id, no ticket.

4.  Students who are unable to stand in line waiting in an orderly fashion and without disruption for a ticket will not receive a ticket.
All of these procedures must be adhered to.
This will close out the ticket availability so please plan accordingly.  We are aware that this has been a stressful situation and apologize for that, but it has been out of our control and have tried to conduct this process in an equitable and transparent manner.

Beginning on May 15, parking passes for graduation will go on sale in the main office while supplies last.  The cost is $8 each.  The parking decks across and beside the Siegel Center will not be "pay as you go" on June 7; a TDHS parking pass must be obtained.

For anyone that still needs to order a cap and gown:  all ordering must occur on-line or by calling HJ directly.

Parents, please note:   ONLY TDHS school-sanctioned cords, stoles, and any other items adorning gowns at graduation, are allowed.  NO outside of the school items are permitted.  Specifically, organizations such as NSHSS, National Society of High School Scholars, and any others similar to this, are NOT permitted.  These types are private organizations, not recognized by school divisions such as CCPS, and we wanted you to be aware prior to purchasing any of their items for this purpose.
