General Information

Senior Exams
 Class of 2018

The following procedure will be put into place for seniors to acquire 1 additional ticket:

1.  A new request form must be completed.  Forms will be available outside of room 608 during the school day on Tuesday, May 29, and only on this day.  Arrangements must be made to acquire a form.

2.  Forms must have ALL required signatures and will be due NO LATER than 2pm on Wednesday, May 30. Students may return forms to room 608 by simply sliding them under the door.  Forms are not to be left outside of room 608.  NO forms will be accepted after 2pm.

3.  After submitting a correct and complete form, the extra ticket may be picked up by the student on Thursday, May 31, room 608, between 6:45 and 7:15 am.  A current picture id must be shown when picking up the ticket.  No form, no ticket; no id, no ticket.

4.  Students who are unable to stand in line waiting in an orderly fashion and without disruption for a ticket will not receive a ticket.

All of these procedures must be adhered to.

This will close out the ticket availability so please plan accordingly.  We are aware that this has been a stressful situation and apologize for that, but it has been out of our control and have tried to conduct this process in an equitable and transparent manner.

Graduation tickets will begin to be distributed during all government classes the week of May 7.  Please be patient; it will take several days. Due to the large size of the graduating class and VCU reducing the number of tickets it releases, EACH senior will receive 5 tickets.  Once all government classes have received tickets, seniors may complete the paperwork to receive up to 5 more.***  Starting on Tuesday, May 15, the forms for additional graduation tickets will be available for pick up outside of room 608.  Forms must be returned to room 608 by 2:00 on Friday, May 18; none will be accepted after this time.  The form must be completed in its entirety and will require a parent signature. With the completion of this process, any remaining tickets may be obtained after school on the designated day.  This is the process used in an effort to provide a equitable manner of distribution.  Stay tuned for further dates for this process, and have your child listen to the daily PA announcements or go by room 608 for updated information.
***This will depend on how many students request extra tickets. The additional 5 is not guaranteed.
Starting on Tuesday, May 15, any student who has not received their first 5 tickets need to pick their tickets up in between class in room 608.

Beginning on May 15, parking passes for graduation will go on sale in the main office while supplies last.  The cost is $8 each.  The parking decks across and beside the Siegel Center will not be "pay as you go" on June 7; a TDHS parking pass must be obtained.

Cap and gown delivery will take place on April 18 in the morning and again on April 19 & 20 during lunches only.  These will be the only days the Herff Jones representatives will be at school for delivery.  Afterwards, they will take all remaining items back to their headquarters in Powhatan.

For anyone that still needs to order a cap and gown:  all ordering must occur on-line or by calling HJ directly.

Parents, please note:   ONLY TDHS school-sanctioned cords, stoles, and any other items adorning gowns at graduation, are allowed.  NO outside of the school items are permitted.  Specifically, organizations such as NSHSS, National Society of High School Scholars, and any others similar to this, are NOT permitted.  These types are private organizations, not recognized by school divisions such as CCPS, and we wanted you to be aware prior to purchasing any of their items for this purpose.
