Administration


After serving 6 years in the US Army as an Airborne Ranger, Dr. Christopher Jones obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education-Mathematics from Columbus State University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from The George Washington University, and a Doctor of Education Degree from GWU. Prior to becoming the principal of Thomas Dale High School, he served as a math teacher at Green Run High School in Virginia Beach City Public Schools, a Teacher Leader with the Center for Teacher Leadership, and an Assistant Principal at Sussex Central Elementary School and Floyd E. Kellam High School in VBCPS. In addition to serving as our principal, he is adjunct faculty with The George Washington University and a board member for the Virginia Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development. Associate Principal (Main and West)

As a native of Pontypridd, United Kingdom Mark Fowler received his Bachelor’s Degree and Postgraduate Certificate inEducation - Biological and Integrated Studies & Physical Education from the University of Wales. He obtained a Master of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from James Madison University, and a Post Master’s Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mr. Fowler has over 30 years in education having taught subjects ranging from biology, exceptional education & physical education, on both sides of the Atlantic. Mr. Fowler has spent the last 20 years at Thomas Dale High School as teacher coach and administrator. Mr. Fowler is a proud husband and father of four Thomas Dale graduates. Assistant Principal

Mrs. Hicks has 14 years of experience in education in Chesterfield County Public Schools at the secondary level. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from James Madison University, a MT in Teaching Secondary English from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an endorsement in Administration and Supervision from Virginia State University.  You can follow her on Twitter @heidihickss.









Dean of Students

Mr. Patterson graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech in 2017. Mr. Patterson taught social studies and science at Manchester Middle School for eleven years prior to coming to Thomas Dale. During this time, he also coached football at James River High School and track and field at Manchester Middle. Assistant Principal

Dr. Jeanine Grabham has 26 years in education, all in Chesterfield County Public Schools. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the College of William and Mary, a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an Ed.D. in Leadership also from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to becoming an administrator, Dr. Grabham taught Chemistry for 16 years. She is married to Scott Grabham and they are the proud parents of three children. Assistant Principal

Following approximately 14 years of experience in Retail, Human Resources and Program Management, Mrs. Lee entered the field of education as a Technical Communications Teacher. Since that time, she has acquired extensive experience as a Marketing Teacher, a Department Chair, a Dean of Students and currently, as an Assistant Principal. Mrs. Lee attended Virginia State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in May 1986. She obtained a Master of Education Degree in Administration and Supervision in May 2015. Mrs. Lee is married to Dallas T. Lee whom she met while studying for her Bachelor degree at Virginia State, they are the parents of three children (now adults). You can follow her on Twitter

Dean of Students

Mrs. Clark has 13 years in education, all in CCPS.  Her first 9 years were here at Thomas Dale and she has returned this year.  SHe has obtained a Bachelor of Arts (History) - University of Virginia, a Master of Teaching (Social Studies) - Curry School at the University of Virginia, and a
