PTA Daddy/Daughter Dance

The Salem PTA is sponsoring a daddy/daughter dance on Friday, January 24th, from 6:30-8:30 pm in the school gym. Tickets are on sale now!  Please return the form and money by Wednesday for the advance $7 price, or you may pay $10 at the door. Come celebrate and enjoy this wonderful night!

FACE FWD Documentary Film Series

The Chesterfield County Public Schools Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) will be hosting a series of documentary films, free to CCPS families February and March 2020. 
The documentaries selected are in alignment with the FACE mission and CCPS dedication to connect families to information through explorations of cultural competency, social-emotional, and adolescent supports. 
The 2020 Face FWD Film Series is comprised of the films listed below. Please click on the link to learn more about the film offerings and reserve free tickets. 

All FACE FWD documentaries will be screened at:

STEAMMania Jan. 11th, 2020

As we welcome the new year, it means that it is time for STEAMMania! It will be held at Cosby High School this Saturday, January 11th, from 7:30am-3:30 pm. Come out and support our participating stars from the STEAM club and check out what it's all about!

We welcome back our Salem families on Monday, June 6th! We hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday! We look forward to seeing our stars!

Parents, please help us cut down on the spreading of germs, by washing lunch boxes, coats, jackets, hoodies and book-bags. Items that cannot be washed, can be wiped down with Clorox wipes or sprayed with Lysol.

Students, if you have completed the Winter Break Challenge, please return this by Wednesday, Jan. 8th so that you can earn extra recess!

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be taking place Monday, November 25th from 11 am- 7 pm and Tuesday, November 26th from 7:30 am -3:30 pm. If you did not sign up for a conference back in September at Back to School Night, your child's teacher has since reached out to you to sign up for a date/time. It is not too late! Please reach out to your child's teacher ASAP via email, so that you may set up an appointment. We look forward to meeting with you and working together to help your child be successful!

We Need You! Food Drive Nov. 18-22

PTA Spirit Night at Chester Skateland

Salem families, join us for a fun night at the skating rink! There will be raffle prizes and the class who has the most students in attendance will win a prize! We hope to see you Wednesday, November 13th from 6:30-8:00 pm at Chester Skateland (2300 Southland Drive). Admission is $6.00 and includes skate rental. This is a CASH ONLY event!

Save the Date- Multicultural Night

We need you! Multicultural Night will be Thursday, November 21st from 6:00-7:30 pm. Please join us in celebrating the diverse cultures that make up our wonderful school! We are looking for families that are willing to share their customs, native clothing, artifacts, music and food from their home countries. If your family would like to participate, please return the blue form sent home with your child or call the school (768-6215) and speak to Somia Rashid. 

Pizza and Games PTA Night

Calling all dads, grandads, uncles, step-dads, adult brothers, and more! On Thursday, October 17th from 6:30-7:30 pm, the PTA will be hosting a "Dads and Kids" pizza and game night. Please come to the school cafeteria to participate in fun-filled STEAM activities with your child. At 7:00, there will be a presentation about our WATCH D.O.G.S program (dads of great students). We look forward to our father-figures coming out and positively impacting our school!
