Technology Education

Technology & Engineering Education is a creative, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) based, hands-on class.  Students work through the engineering design process to solve both individual and team design challenges.  Each challenge requires student to meet specific criteria while working within set limits.  Students may work through challenges in tower construction, balloon-powered vehicles, rockets, clocks, pencil holders, rubber band airplanes, CO2 cars, boats, mouse trap vehicles, pen holder or dispensers.

Computer Education


Computer Applications is a 7th grade one semester course designed to introduce students to a variety of computer software.  Students develop or review correct keyboarding techniques. They learn to use/master the Google Suite of Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drawing, and Forms.  They are introduced to Scratch coding and web design using HTML. Students demonstrate an understanding of computer concepts through application of knowledge.  


Computer Gaming and Design is an 8th grade one semester course designed to introduce students to a variety of coding software.  Students learn to create computer games using Gamestar Mechanic software.  They learn to design computer programs using Code.org.  Students demonstrate an understanding of creating and designing programs through application of knowledge.
