PTA

Dear Reams Road Families:

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer! To our new families, let me introduce myself. My name is Jennifer Clemmons, and I am the PTA President for the 2018-19 school year; this is my LAST year leading this wonderful organization. I hope to make it my BEST. We have lots of fun and excitement in store for the school year. The teachers and staff go out of their way to provide a safe and inviting environment, not just for our children, but for our families, too.

We have many exciting activities planned for this school year. Our goal is for every Reams family to join the PTA. The cost of membership is just $7 per person, and only $10 per family.  Last year we were able to pilot the online membership option and we will be continuing with this option. Please visit PTA Membership to join today!  Whether you're buying school supplies for the kids or renting a car for your next family vacation, PTA members can save money on everyday purchases thanks to National PTA's Member Offers.  National PTA teams up with businesses committed to supporting PTA’s mission of serving all children by offering our members special discounts, fundraising opportunities and other unique deals.

AARP · George Washington University · Good Housekeeping · Hertz

LifeLock · MetLife · Mountain America Credit Union · Quicken Loans · Squadlocker · TreeRing

Participating in our school fundraisers will also help us pay for various programs that aid in the academic progress of all students.  PTA is more just than fundraising. The mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

PTA is a powerful voice for all children, not just your children or mine, but ALL children. We are a relevant resource for families and communities. We strongly advocate for the education and well-being of all children.

Kroger Community Rewards Program is an ongoing way to support our school.  Register online at krogercommunityrewards.com and search for Reams as the school name or use the organization number 11862.

We also collect Box Tops here at Reams, so don’t throw those babies away. They are worth 10 cents each and we usually earn at least $1,000 each year for our school!  Send them in at anytime with your student.

Attending our general PTA meetings will give you a venue for your voice to be heard. As a group, we can make a difference in our school and in our community.

Please consider joining the PTA and helping to support your child’s school in any way you can. You can find us on Facebook as Reams Road Elementary PTA and email us with questions, concerns, comments, or suggestions anytime at reamspta@gmail.com.

I’m looking forward to a great school year!

Best,

Jennifer Clemmons
