Exceptional Education

The Exceptional Education Department of Providence Middle School acknowledges and supports the importance of individualizing all educational experiences by meeting the unique needs of every student.

Each student’s Individualized Educational Program (IEP) team, of which the parents are important members, works toward fostering each child’s development of a positive self-concept and identity within his environment. We anticipate providing our students with the tools to become self-sufficient, contributing members of our society.

Each student, who has been indentified as having a disability, works closely with their case manager in order to meet their academic needs at school.  Student, parent, and case manager communication and involvement is an important factor for the student to be academically successful.
