The World Languages Department at Providence Middle School offers 7th and 8th grade students a full year of Spanish 1 for high school credit.

6th and 7th graders are able to take exploratory classes that encompass Spanish, French, Latin, and German, as well as a sprinkling of other cultures.

Also, if a  6th or 7th grade student is in honors level English, Science and Social Studies then that student is able to take Spanish 1A which is the first half of the full Spanish curriculum class.  In order to earn the full Spanish credit then the student will need to successfully complete Spanish 1A and then successfully complete Spanish 1B, the second half of the curriculum, the following school year.
