Cross Country

The cross country team hosted their first home meet of the season yesterday against a tough Tomahawk Creek squad. The girls took the course first with Tomahawk taking an early lead, but Nicole Quiram refused to give up, finishing third overall and first for Midlothian. Top finishers for Midlothian included Madeline DuBois, Emily Garloff, Alexis Bartee, Ally Placide, Scarlett Schepker, and Katherine Williams. Tomahawk ultimately defeated Midlothian 18-60. The boys took the course shortly after and Tomahawk flew off the start line. Samuel Huff stayed with the pack, finishing fourth overall and first for Midlothian! Robbie Painter was close behind, finishing sixth overall. Other top finishers for Midlothian included Cole Pridgen, Max Jones, Austin Jeffery, Nathan Edwards, and Jake Ekulnd. Despite a tough race, Midlothian fell to Tomahawk 18-53. The team will travel to Robious next Wednesday so be sure to with them luck!
