Black History Month

Black History Month
February is Black History Month. All month long, Midlothian High School will be celebrating Black History Month. United States History classes will examine and investigate the contributions and impacts of African Americans on American government, culture, and society. Special attention will be given to contributions of the 20th century, especially the efforts of W.E.B. Du Bois and Booker T. Washington. The cultural impact of the Harlem Renaissance will also be a focus of inquiry this month.
