Students play a sport in gym class

Midlothian's Health & Physical Education department is committed to teaching students how to live healthy lifestyles. In Physical Education, students learn and practice various sports and other physical activities; Health class covers nutrition, drug abuse, family life, and other aspects of living a safe and healthy life.

During the first semester of Health & PE 10, students take Driver Education, which is a requirement for a Virginia driver's license.

Students are required to take Health & PE in 9th and 10th grade and may continue taking Advanced PE in 11th and/or 12th grade as an elective course.
