Fine Arts

A scene from Romeo & Juliet

The Fine Arts Department at Midlothian High School offers students in-depth exposure to the Arts through an exciting and challenging curriculum. The environment provides the skills necessary for success in secondary education, the workplace or higher education through a comprehensive, hands-on focus in each course of study. Students may select from three areas of study: music (band, chorus, orchestra, & guitar), theatre (performance and production), and visual arts (art, photography, 3-D, and graphic design). While students usually select one area of concentrated study, they are encouraged to explore classes in all areas. Ultimately the Fine Arts classes are designed to provide a well-rounded education complementing excellent core academic classes with enriching arts classes.
