Teacher of the Year

Mrs. Jackie Tully
Mrs. Jackie Tully is Midlothian High School's Teacher of the Year and the CCPS High School Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year. She earned her B.S. in Secondary English Education from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1990, and is currently in her 29th year of teaching. She previously taught at Highland Springs High School, Monacan High School, and James River HIgh School, before teaching at Midlothian High School from 2002 to present. Mrs. Tully currently teaches AP Literature and Composition, Journalism, and Service Learning and serves as the Midlo Scoop adviser and the Midlo Service Learning facilitator. Mrs. Tully has been married for 26 years and has three children: Jake, a third year student at UVA Law; Nick, a fourth year student at UVA; and Sophie, a senior at Cosby High School.
