The Virginia Math League Contest will be held today after school.  The test begins promptly at 2:00 and ends at 2:30.

Global Celebrations is TODAY in the library after school.  Join all the fun, food & activities!

Are you ready to hear the winners for the library sponsored M&M guessing contest?  There were two chances to win, and here are the folks who guessed the closest:  the red & green jar had 637 pieces, and KIARA SMITH guessed 632!  The blue & white jar had 899 pieces, and TANNER PARKER guessed 902.  There were also staff winners for each jar as well!  MS. ANNA EDMONDS guessed the closest to the red & green jar with her guess of 500 & MR. CHEATHAM guessed the closest to the blue & white jar with 891!  Winner are invited to come down to the library to claim prizes!

The Diversity Club will be having their monthly meeting at 2pm today in room 132.  They will be hosting a guest speaker from Side by Side.  Everyone is invited and welcome to attend.

Congratulations to the Midlo Chorus students!  Last Friday all of the Chorus students participated in State Assessment at Clover Hill High School.  Just For Show, City Lights and Chamber Ensemble received superior ratings and Vocal Ensemble received an Excellent rating.  All of the groups received Superior ratings in Sight Reading.  Well done!!

All clubs participating in the Holiday Family Gift fundraiser, tomorrow at 2 pm the Spirit Club is gathering for our annual wrapping party with plenty of pizza to share in the Open Commons.

Attention NEHS Members - We will host our Fall Induction Ceremony TODAY beginning at 2:30pm in the Closed Commons. Please come out and welcome our new inductees. Attendance is mandatory for both new and current members. See Mr. Cheatham or Ms. Rekito if you have questions.

Attention all Dual Enrollment Students: You will attend an assembly TODAY during MM in the auditorium. In this assembly, representatives from JTCC will cover important information from the college.

Comparison shopping for colleges?   Confused about the process of financing a college education? Attend the Financial Aid Workshop TONIGHT  @ 7pm -- in the Midlothian HS Library.  Sponsored by the College and Career Center, this program offers a "nuts and bolts" approach to paying for college by Financial Aid officer Belinda Hill,  from the University of Richmond.  Students, bring your parents!

Have you stopped by the library to look at the jars of M&Ms?  Yes - I said JARS because we have TWO jars!  Don’t delay!  We will be announcing the winnerS next Tuesday so that winners can take their candy home before exams!!

Students wanting their license! Behind the Wheel sign-up information can be found on the bulletin board outside of room 400. You now must use the bit.ly link on the bulletin board to make an appointment with Miss. Santmyer to receive your driving dates. Be sure you read all of the requirements on the board carefully! If you have any questions please see Miss. Santmyer.

And finally...The IB office would like to take a moment to offer words of encouragement and congratulations to the IB senior class of 2018. Today, these hard-working and talented students will be submitting their 4,000 word Extended Essay. This research project, which tasks students with exploring a unique scholarly investigation, has been underway for over 10 months. It’s successful completion is an enormous undertaking and commitment. Please congratulate these scholars for their extraordinary achievement!

All clubs participating in the Holiday Family Gift fundraiser, please plan to have all gifts turned in this coming Monday on December 4th to the Library, and don’t forget to join the Spirit Club in the Open Commons on December 6th to wrap all the gifts.

Attention rising 10th and 11th graders interested in applying for the IB program here at Midlothian High School: the deadline for Specialty Center applications for the 2018-2019 school year is this Friday, December 1st. Students can pick up applications in counseling or in the IB office, and completed applications can be submitted to Mrs. Walke in the IB office no later than 2:00 PM Friday afternoon.

Girls soccer will start conditioning on Friday 12/1 @ 2:30 pm. Please meet by the field house. This is open to anyone who is interested. You must have an up to date physical and concussion form with you or on file in order to participate.

The Library will be hosting #GlobalCelebrations ON A NEW DATE.  After school on TUESDAY, 12/12, we will be recognizing major holidays from around the world.  If you would like to help plan activities for Chinese New Year, Christmas, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or Ramadan, please contact a librarian.
