Anyone wishing to become a Trojan Nation Sidekick for next school year may pick up an application in the main office.  Applications will not be accepted after March 29th.

Prom guest forms are now available in the main office if you are planning on taking a non-Midlo student to prom on April 27th.  Forms must be turned in no later than Thursday April 18th.

Science National Honor Society members new and old are reminded of the initiation ceremony after school tomorrow in the closed commons.  Dress to impress! We look forward to celebrating our new initiates! See Ms.Patel or Ms.Booher with any questions.

Attention students - Club Picture Day will take place today in the main gym.  Clubs will be assigned a time during Midlo Morning or the 1st 15 minutes of 2nd, 3rd, or 4th periods.  Please listen for the turnouts between classes. Students should report to the gym during the class change.  Schedules for picture day will be posted in classrooms by tomorrow. Additionally, you can check the Yearbook’s Twitter page or Instagram page for more information (@MidloYBK).  Freshmen who have PBAs MAY NOT skip the PBA for club pictures.  Finally, any student who attempts to be in a picture for a club of which they are not a member, will receive an office referral.  Additionally, that club’s picture will not be featured in the Yearbook.

Attention spring sports athletes: Spring sports pictures will take place today after school.  Please see your coach for your exact picture schedule and report 5 minutes before your scheduled time.

Seniors: Last call for the John Tyler Community College field trip scheduled for this Friday.  Sign up today in the Counseling Office and pick up a permission form - if you’re interested in touring the campus and learning more about the programs John Tyler has to offer.  Contact Ms. Martin in the Career Center with questions.

Come out and support the Midlothian High School Trojan Band at Chick- Fil-A Westchester Commons tomorrow March 19th from 5-8 p.m.  Let them know that you are supporting MHS band program for them to receive credit.

Students who are interested in auditioning for show choir need to sign the audition sign-up list on the chorus room door. Auditions for new students are April 19th after school. See Mr. Finn for more details.

TODAY we are meeting with our Champions Together Track and Field participants. We will be meeting in the Main Gym at the start of MM1. We will be selecting events and getting times for our selected events. Your first period teachers should have your Gold Champions Pass to be excused from your class during that period.

The Visual Arts department is proud to announce that Midlo senior, Tess Wladar, received TWO national silver medals in the Scholastic Art Contest, for her works entitled “Breeder” and “Four Horsemen.” Congratulations, Tess!

This year, we are using two days to complete our writing SOL assessments, as opposed to four.  All Sophomore students will test tomorrow 3/12 and again on Friday 3/15 regardless of when they normally have English class.  The testing period is 9:25am- 12:01pm both days. All non-sophomore students will follow a slightly modified Midlo Morning bell schedule.  **Note: we will switch 2O and 4O on Friday 3/15 so the schedule will run 1-4-3-2 for the entire school.
