School Supply List

High school is different from middle school and elementary school in that students have a wide array of choices about which electives and courses they want to take. Therefore, every student's schedule is different, and it is not possible to come up with one list of supplies that is applicable for every student. We do recommend that every student has the following items at school each day:

notebook paper
pens that write in black or blue ink
a three-ring binder for each class
a fully charged Chromebook (issued by CCPS to every student for a yearly fee of $50)

Beyond these basics, students will have to meet with their teachers on the first two days of school to learn of any special supplies or equipment that will be needed for that class. For example, a teacher might want students to have index cards or a set of markers or colored pencils for class. There are some elective courses and activities that have fees associated with them in order to supply specialized materials and equipment, such as performing arts groups, career and technical classes, culinary/nutrition classes, and health and p.e. classes.

All students taking health and p.e. 9 and 10 will have a $10 fee for the class to cover driving manuals, CPR training supplies, and other equipment that is used throughout the year. Students are required to dress out for p.e. in shorts, tennis shoes and a t-shirt. Shorts should be no shorter than finger-tip length, and t-shirts should be free of slogans and images that are not appropriate for school. If students wish to purchase a p.e. uniform, they may do so for $15.

We hope that you find this information helpful!
