GERMAN CLUB The purpose of German Club is to promote an interest in Germany and its language, people and culture. Typical events include: watching German movies (with English subtitles), bowling (since the Germans invented the modern version of the game!), laser tag (as a certain Herr Einstein helped lay the theoretical foundations for the development of the laser!), a Black Forest cake making contest, a gingerbread house decorating contest, a German cultural trivia and pop music contest, German card games, and a 'Grillfest' by the river (with plenty of German sausages!). Short informational meetings take place in room 1222 during ONE lunch (from time to time), and the majority of the club's (typically monthly) events take place after school (for 1-2 hours). Some shorter activities take place at lunch. Students wishing to join should simply attend a club meeting. Students not taking German are also welcome to join. Dues are $20 (or $10 per semester).
