Mrs. Jennifer Lenz- Principal
I am so excited to join the Jacobs Road Elementary School family! I am starting my 12th year as an elementary school principal, having served the past six years as principal at Marguerite Christian ES in Chesterfield County and the five years prior to that as principal of Washington-Henry ES in Hanover County. Overall, I have been an educator for over 22 years. I’ve attended Virginia Tech, George Mason University and Johns Hopkins University, earning a B.S. in Psychology, and M. Ed. in Special Education, and a post-masters in Administration and Supervision. I am currently pursuing my doctorate from Virginia Tech.

My husband, Brad, and I have five children: Maddie (18), Mallory (16), Jack (14), Britt (12) and Maryn (12). We just sent our oldest daughter to Virginia Tech, the college where I met her dad. We are a huge VT family and we love our HOKIES! When I’m not at work or in one of my classes, I like to spend time with my family & friends, read a good book, check out a good movie, or watch The Voice! My husband and I spend a lot of time shuttling kids to and from activities and sports or watching them play. I’m slowly becoming an expert mom of baseball, soccer, wrestling and volleyball!

I truly love my job and I believe my purpose is to support students, families and teachers. Your children will quickly become my children in my heart! It is a great honor to be trusted by you to take care of your baby! I will always do my best to work hard and partner with you to make sure that Jacobs Road is the BEST place to grow and learn!

Your feedback and opinions matter to me. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me. You may call me at 804-674-1320 or email me at Jennifer_Lenz@ccpsnet.net.

Mr. Joel Eberts- Assistant Principal

I am thrilled to be joining the Jaguar team in the role of Assistant Principal. I have been an educator in Chesterfield County for the past 17 years. I taught at Falling Creek and Woolridge Elementary and have most recently served as assistant principal at Spring Run Elementary. I attended Wilkes University and earned Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Elementary Education. I received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.

I have twin eight year old boys with my amazing wife Jen, also a Chesterfield teacher. We spend most of our time together outdoors camping, playing sports, and traveling. When I am not busy with my family I can be found coaching, golfing, hunting, or most likely, on the water fishing.

My passion for elementary education allows me to live by the motto “Work hard...Play hard.” Clearly the students, parents and staff have created a fun, effective learning environment. I appreciate the opportunity to be part of this school culture. I bring a strong moral compass that is rooted in doing what is best for students. My goal is to support this community in getting the most out of each and every child.

Open and honest communication is a valuable part of public education, let me know if I may ever be of assistance. You may call me at 804-674-1320 or email me at Joel_Eberts@ccpsnet.net.
